For most of my life, I didn’t know how to stop chasing perfection.
I thought if I could just get everything right, I’d finally feel enough.
If I looked perfect.
Spoke perfectly.
Never made mistakes.
Then maybe I’d be safe. Maybe I’d be loved. Maybe I’d finally rest.
But perfection didn’t bring peace.
It brought burnout, self-doubt, and a constant feeling that I wasn’t doing—or being—enough.
💡 That’s when I made a quiet, life-changing decision:
I had to stop chasing perfection so I could finally breathe.
1️⃣ How Chasing Perfection Was Hurting Me
At first, perfection felt like protection.
If I looked like I had it all together, maybe I wouldn’t feel so messy inside.
But it kept me in a loop of overthinking, proving, and performing.
💡 The Shift: I realized I wasn’t thriving—I was just coping with the fear of not being enough.

✅ I asked, “Am I doing this to connect—or to be approved?”
✅ I gave myself permission to be honest, not perfect

These days, I don’t aim for flawless—I aim for real.
I don’t hide behind “I’m fine”—I let people see me.
💡 The Shift: I now believe that being seen is more powerful than being perfect.

✅ I let people see the messy middle, not just the polished end
✅ I celebrated doing my best—even when it wasn’t perfect
✅ I let myself rest without earning it

The Truth About Why I Had to Stop Chasing Perfection
I used to believe that if I could do everything right, I’d finally feel worthy.
But now I know:
✔ Worthiness isn’t something you earn through performance
✔ Perfection isn’t peace—it’s pressure
✔ People don’t connect with your perfection—they connect with your truth
